hi, I’m Jane

35 years in business.
Not just studying it.

I’ve spent my working life building businesses and walking alongside women as they build theirs. Here’s a little about how I got here, and why this work matters so much to me.

how I got here

I came home from my OE with a dream and not enough money, and took a temporary job to tide me over. That temporary job became a business, and that business became close to three decades of building, leading, and learning the hard way.

Along the way I coached and mentored hundreds of women in leadership, mindset, systems, and growth. The Empowerment Project is the direct continuation of that work: helping driven women cut through the noise in their own heads, build a strategy that fits their life, and follow through.

why this matters for you

The part no course teaches you.

You can do every online course going. But none of them teach you how to deal with people, your own emotions, and the doubts that show up on any given day.

You already know your craft. But the deeper confidence across everything else usually takes years in the field. For most people, it never quite arrives on its own. That’s what I work on with you: the doubts, the fears, the self-sabotage that shows up right when you’re about to make a move. We deal with those alongside the plan, not separately.

Over the years I’ve walked alongside people from all walks of life. Women building businesses. Women thriving in demanding careers. People finding their way back into work, and others rebuilding their working lives after injury, through ACC. Youth just starting out, and people facing real barriers to employment. Different starting points, the same journey: from stuck, to moving forward.

a bit about me

When I’m not coaching, you’ll usually find me on the farm with the dogs, or in a room full of women at a networking catch-up, which is honestly my favourite place to be.

I understand the juggle, the self-doubt, and the challenge of finding success without sacrificing everything, because I’ve lived it. That’s exactly why I do this work the way I do.

Chances are you’re your own toughest critic. You don’t need more of that — you need clarity, a plan, and someone in your corner who gets it.Jane Elley
